the kit works fine for me! bought as a back up to my other equipment, ran 9.6 gun and did a tattoo in the same day arrived, being rather skeptical and was really impressed that this thing worked perfect so impressed!! I love this little compact kit, but I don't use ink, tack or metal pipes. I only use the gun, power supply, cables, pedals, needles, elastic, grommets and caps from this kit I have my ink and sterile tubes with knobs!
